The key to outstanding bartending
So enjoy the privilege of being essentially equipped to be a top flight mixologist. As it is a well known fact that a career in this field can be quite profitable. Also, if you would like me to create a cocktail for yourself, anyone or occasion that you may be thinking of; just email me with your requests, & I’ll be more than happy to fulfill them for you, ASAP. Bartending: Part Time Job, Full Time Income By Joel Dresse Bartending is one of the few jobs that you can make a full time income from a part time job. If you are an outgoing person that likes to be in a social environment, then bartending is worth a look. It is very easy to become a bartender. There are many schools that teach bartending, and it only takes about two weeks to complete the course. Most bartending schools charge less than $300 and help you find a job. Bartending is actually very easy. It does take some practice, but most bartenders don’t need to learn an enormous amount of drinks. In actuality, most bartenders make only a dozen or two different kind of drinks. If someone asks for something special, they usually pull out a drink recipe book and make the drink from scratch. While some bartenders know a couple of hundred drinks, the general population only knows about a dozen. You can make great money being a bartender. Most bartenders work only a couple of days of week; however their income can be huge. It is not uncommon to make $100 or $200 a shift. If you work at a large bar or club, you can easily double that. So if you are looking for a great career opportunity, choose bartending. Inquiry: Hi George, Was wondering if u could recommend any bar schools in London, England or whether you would advise training in America? And whether there is a world wide recognized certificate out there? Thanks George, Pete.

Hi Pete,
Thanx for the email, if you’re in London, do a course at a reputable school there, I was able to come up with 4 for you:-
IPBartenders Professional Bartending School
But please use the tips on my schools page in choosing the best one for yourself:-
http://www.the-authentic-bartender.com/schools.html
However, if you’re moving to another country where the bartending profession is different from where you were trained, you may want to consider doing a refresher course there to familiarize yourself with that country’s method of tending a bar.
As far as I know there isn’t an internationally recognized certificate, but I’m sure that an authentic certificate from a highly recognized school would not be a detriment to you.
And if there’s anything else I can help you out with, just email me, ASAP
George

Hi Jill,
Thanx for the email, here are some courses that you want to check out:-
http://www.bartendingcollegeonline.com/
http://www.bartendingonline.com/
http://www.zizzoo.com/guides/bartending/index.php
http://class.universalclass.com/chash/0/3/1/031570.htm
But as a graduate of a bricks & mortar course many moons ago in Bermuda, I would recommend that you attend a highly reputable one with a good job placement program, if your ultimate goal is to be a bartender after taking the course. The tips & resources on my schools page will help you choose one for yourself http://www.the-authentic-bartender.com/schools.html
If you would like me to do a search for some in your area please send me the name of it, & don't hesitate to contact me again if there is anything else that I can do for you, ASAP.

Subject: I AM GREATFUL I FOUND YOU
Hello my name is Tariq and I just got a job at a new bar in my town. It is a Mexican style restaurant/bar. To be honest with you I do not have that much experience behind a bar but I do know the basics and I am assertive.
I heard great things about your advice from a bartender in my town. I was wondering if you could possible e-mail my some drink and shot recipes that could help me out at this Mexican bar. Also maybe you could give me some good beginner tips.
I know your probably busy but if you could help me this one time I would be very grateful plus I will put up your internet site behind my bar. And I would be more than happy to advertise for your site.
THANK YOU
Tariq
------------
Hi Tariq,
Thanx for the email, I found 5 Mexican named drink & 5 shot recipes; & here they are:-
Drink recipes
(The ingredients & mixing methods of the following recipes have been removed to save space on this page)
MEXICALI
--------
MEXICALI ROSE
--------
MEXICALLI MARTINI
--------
MEXICAN BIKE RACE
--------
MEXICAN EL DIABLO

MEXICAN GRASSHOPPER

Shot recipes
MEXICAN BERRY

MEXICAN BREEZE
--------
MEXICAN FLAG
--------
MEXICAN FLAG (FLAMING)
--------
MEXICAN FLAG II

Also, here are some added tips for making these shots:-
1. Layering - This takes practice to do properly. By gently placing one liqueur on top of another you can create a layered effect where the liqueurs don't mix. To do this, you can tilt the glass and slowly pour one liquor on top of another, or you can pour over the back of a spoon as well. Either way, the liquor on top has to be less dense than the liquor on the bottom or they won't stay separate.
2. The following gravity chart is a good guideline to use, the higher the
proof the lower the specific gravity. The lower specific gravity alcohols go
on the top:-http://www.drinkfocus.com/cocktails/cocktail-party.php
----------------------------
In regards to some good beginner tips:-
The 1st thing I recommend that you get a good recipe book, the one that I use is The International Bartender’s Guide , it has a few Mexican related recipes & it has gotten me recipe situations when working. But if you don’t like this particular book, there are a few more on my bar guide page you can choose from:- http://www.the-authentic-bartender.com/bar-guide.html .
The 2nd thing is, to use all of the bartending tips & tricks to your heart’s content that are on both of my pages:-
http://www.the-authentic-bartender.com/bartending-tips.html
http://www.the-authentic-bartender.com/bartendingtricks.html
By the way, can you please tell me what town you are in & please thank your friend for me for referring my site to you. Also thank you for advertising my site & if there is anything else I can help you out with, just email me, ASAP

Hi again, thanks a bunch for e-mailing me those recipes. I live in Bloomington, IL. I go to ISU and I am paying for two tuitions so this bartending job came just at the right time. The only thing is I really do not have that much experience at all. How should I stay organized when I have multiple orders coming in.
I told my friend that you wrote me back. She still uses your website from time to time. If you can stay in touch with me on a consistent basis I can promise you that I will advertise your website at the bar I work at and other local bars in the Bloomington-Normal area. I've got some buddies that bounce all over this town. Once again, thank you.
